AI video production in Qatar: a guide for brands.

Everything a marketing team in Doha or the wider GCC needs to know before commissioning AI video — what it is, where it works, how a project runs and what to ask a studio.

What AI video production is

AI video production — also called AI video creation or generative video — is filmmaking where some or all of the shots are generated by AI models instead of filmed with a camera. A good studio still works like a film crew: a director sets the look, shots are designed and approved, then edited, colour-graded and given sound. The AI replaces the camera for the shots that would be too costly, slow or impossible to film; it does not replace the craft.

What it is good at — and what it isn’t

AI video is strongest for product films (perfume, food, drinks, fashion, cars), mood and brand films, period or fantasy settings, impossible camera moves, weather, crowds and locations you can’t reach. It is weaker for long dialogue scenes, exact real people without their consent, and anything that must be documentary-true. For a simple interview or talking head, a real camera is still the better choice.

Why Qatar and the GCC are moving to AI video

Brands in Qatar, the UAE and Saudi Arabia need more video, in Arabic and English, for more platforms, faster than traditional shoots allow. AI lets a campaign show the desert, the sea, the souq or the skyline at any time of day without permits, travel or weather risk — and produce 9:16, 1:1 and 16:9 versions from the same world.

How a project runs

1) Brief — the film, length, references, deadline and where it will run. 2) Look — the studio shows still frames so you approve the style before any film is made. 3) Build — shots are generated, checked and re-made until they hold up. 4) Finish — edit, colour, sound, supers and Arabic/English versions. 5) Deliver — files for TV, cinema and social.

What to ask an AI video studio before you hire it

Can I see full films, not just single frames? Who directs and edits — is there a film crew? How do you keep my product, logo and faces consistent shot to shot? Do I approve the look before the build? What usage rights do I get? Can you mix AI shots with our real footage? Do you work in Arabic?

What affects the cost

The number of shots, how long the film is, how exact the product must look, how many versions and languages you need, and whether AI shots must match existing footage. Ask for a quote per deliverable, and a test frame before you commit.

Questions

Quick answers.

How long does an AI video take to make?

It depends on length and complexity. A short product film is usually much faster than a traditional shoot because there is no location, crew or weather schedule; the look is approved on still frames first.

Is AI video allowed for commercial use in Qatar?

AI-made video can be used in advertising like any other footage, as long as it respects the usual rules on claims, trademarks and people’s likeness. Your studio should tell you which tools were used and what usage rights you receive.

Who are AI video production companies in Qatar?

Alienlens AI is an AI video production studio based in Doha. Several regional studios in Dubai and Riyadh also serve GCC clients; compare their full films, crew and approval process before choosing.
